New preprint on how the lectin domain of LORE binds its fatty acid ligands

Lin-Jie Shu and colleagues identify the second G-type lectin domain of LORE as the ligand binding domain, and describe a flexible loop that lets the receptor distinguish agonistic from antagonistic 3-hydroxy fatty acids. Joint work with the group of Antonella Di Pizio at the Leibniz Institute for Food Systems Biology.

New preprint on the ligand preference of LORE receptors across the Brassicaceae

When LORE receptors are examined throughout the Brassicaceae, we find that their ligand preferences follow the 3-hydroxy fatty acid profiles of the proteobacteria that these plants encounter.
